Castril

Castril is a mountain village which is surrounded by the beautiful but unknown Parque Natural de Castril. The village originat probably from a small Roman millitairy camp. Its name is taken from the Arabic qastal. Between 1319 and 1489 the castle in Castril together with the castles in Orce, Huéscar and Galera, was forming the border of Murcia.
